What we’re doing to improve accessibility

We plan to improve accessibility on this website by continuing to audit during 2024 and will carry out a review of the website by June 2025.

We have used plain English when describing services and information. However, at times the website describes complicated processes and includes phrases that may not be easily understood by our website users, particularly those new to Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) processes.

We continue to assess language use and simplify and explain the use of phrases and acronyms used by service providers.

Please get in touch if there are any documents that you are not able to access, and we will provide the information to you in a different format.  Also if you do not understand anything, we can explain in more detail or in a different way.

We have currently removed PDFs from this website and if replaced we will ensure that they are accessible HTML pages and forms.  We will ensure language is set to make it easier for screen readers to interpret these documents and can be navigated using a keyboard.
